As a standup comedian Shane has appeared on CONAN (twice), THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT, NBC’S LAST COMIC STANDING, HALF HOUR SPECIAL WITH COMEDY CENTRAL, and THIS WEEK FROM THE CELLAR on Comedy Central just to name a few. He released his debut album "Established 1981" with Comedy Central records to rave reviews in 2018. You can see him touring all around the world at comedy clubs, concert venues, and some of the most prestigious festivals. Shane has been heard on popular podcasts such as BERTCAST, COMEDY BANG BANG, ALL FANTASY EVERYTHING, GUYS WE FUCKED, SAVAGE LOVE PODCAST, DOUG LOVES MOVIES, RISK and a slew of more. His podcast NO ACCOUNTING FOR TASTE with Kyle Kinane is available via ALL THINGS COMEDY wherever you get your podcasts. Shane has been seen acting alongside household names for NBC’S RED NOSE DAY and on IFC’S COMEDY BANG BANG. In 2019 Shane was one of a handful of comedians invited to perform on Will Smith’s THIS JOKA. Shane has also hosted his own series for Comedy Central called SHANE TORRES CONQUERS YOUR FEARS and a show for Paramount Plus named HOW GOOD CAN IT GET WITH SHANE TORRES. Shane has also been seen as a panelist on multiple television shows across a variety of networks. He has been reviewed by numerous media outlets including The New York Times, Onion AV Club, GQ UK, and more. “Mr. Torres has a laconic drawling delivery with deliberate pacing, placing him firmly in the tradition of dry deadpan specialists like Tig Notaro and Todd Barry. But his style is warmer, relying on punchlines with corkscrew turns that have moments of vulnerability and even melancholy.” — The New York Times.LeClerc Andre made his first splash on the scene as a featured new face at the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival. Since then, he has made his network television debut on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and continues to work clubs and colleges across the country. He recorded his first comedy album, I am LeClerc, live at New York Comedy Club in the Spring and it is set to release this winter.Joe Praino is a comedian, actor and podcast host, who was honored to be part of the elite “New Faces” showcase at the Just For Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival 2019. He has two successful podcasts: the baseball centric Dirty Slides (with Andy Lazarus) and Dirty Sports (with Andy Ruther), which is approaching it’s 1,000 th episode, and showcases his immense depth of sports knowledge. He has interviewed the likes of comedy writer/director David Zucker, NFL stars Shawn Merriman and Pat McAfee, celebrity personal trainer Duffy Gaver and NBA star Brian Scalabrine. Praino performs standup at several clubs across the country and in Canada, including Gotham Comedy Club, The Stand, The Cellar, The Laugh Factory, House of Comedy, The Improv, Flappers and the Westside Comedy Theater. A native New Yorker, Praino worked the club circuit and was a CBS Page and a Desk Assistant at the Evening News With Dan Rather before standup comedy eventually won out as his full-time pursuit. He earned regular spots at the Comic Strip Live and Boston Comedy Club and he hosted his own variety show, Miscellaneous, at Galapagos in Brooklyn. Praino has had several indie film roles and appearances on “The Curse of Von Dutch” (Hulu) “Now We’re Talking,” and several episodes of “ESPN Instant,” with some of his favorite analysts and commentators. A sports enthusiast, he’s had the distinct, mind-blowing honor of throwing out the first pitch at a Mets game and he’s taken up golf, which was once on his “things not to do list.” Praino lives in sunny CA with his surf board and foster dogs.

A prolific monologist with universal appeal, Jon focuses on the idiosyncrasies of city living. Shortly after moving to NYC from his native Boston, he was chosen as one of Comedy Central’s Fresh Faces of Comedy and named one of Back Stage Magazine’s 10 Standout Stand-ups. His appearance on Last Comic Standing 4 – where he was the New York City Capital One Audience Favorite – earned him wide recognition and a new legion of fans. His other TV appearances include Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, VH1, Celebrity Apprentice, and 3 Men and a Chick Flick on the WE Network where he served as a host. Interestingly, the credit people seem most impressed by was that he was handpicked to open for Jerry Seinfeld in 2009 at Gotham Comedy Club Jon has performed at multiple festivals including the 2007 HBO Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen and the 2010 Great American Comedy Festival at the Johnny Carson Theatre in Norfolk, Nebraska. In addition, he was a critical favorite at the prestigious Montreal “Just for Laughs” Festival where he appeared in both the “New Faces” showcase and the Club Series show “Dating It.” Following his impressive performances, Jon was singled out by the Hollywood Reporter and the Montreal Gazette as a “stand out performer”. Most recently, he was invited to perform at this year’s TBS “Just For Laughs” Comedy Festival in Chicago.Marcus Monroe is an NYC based comedian. He is the winner of the prestigious Andy Kaufman Award and his show is a Time Out NY and a 4x New York Times Critics’ Pick. Marcus recently performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival gaining numerous five-star reviews and was chosen as the Evening Standard’s Pick Of The Fringe. Other notable performances include Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, SF Sketchfest, the New York Comedy Festival, and even an appearance on the Late Show. His off-beat delivery and playful crowd work make him one of the most exciting comedians to watch.Andre D Thompson was born and raised in New York City where he began stand up at 18. ALOK’s literary works “Beyond the Gender Binary,” “Femme in Public,” and “Your Wound, My Garden,” have garnered global recognition. Their dynamic presence has captivated audiences in over 40 countries, with sold-out shows at venues including Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and headlining numerous Just For Laughs Festivals. ALOK can currently be seen in Hannah Gadsby’s Gender Agenda comedy special on Netflix and will take center stage at the Netflix is a Joke Festival in May 2024. Their show has been described as "provocative and powerful" (CHORTLE) and a "jaw-dropping celestial event" (TO DO LIST LONDON). For their contributions to culture and entertainment, they have been honored with the ACLU of Southern California Bill of Rights Award, Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment Trailblazer Award, and were selected as the inaugural LGBTQ Scholar in Residence at the University of Pennsylvania. They are the subject of the docu-short “ALOK” executive produced by Jodie Foster and directed by Alex Hedison, which made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival in 2024. On screen, they can also be seen in Complicated Order opposite Midori Francis, The Trans List, and (forthcoming) Absolute Dominion opposite Patton Oswalt. On television, they can be seen on season 3 of the critically acclaimed HBO Max series SORT OF opposite Bilal Baig, Hulu’s Planet Sex with Cara Delevingne, ABC’s PRIDE: To Be Seen – A Soul of A Nation, Netflix’s Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness, and HBO’s Random Acts of Flyness.

Join us for a Four-Week Standup Intensive with Clayton Fletcher! Our 4-week course reviews topics including writing skills & stage presence, joke structures, where to find material, and the basics of crafting a set. The course will conclude with a show at West Side Comedy Club, allowing students to perform their 5-minute set in front of a live audience. Please note: Final Performances are recorded and subject to be used on our social media platforms. Our instructors are all working comics themselves with credits to their name; they can speak directly to the industry as it is today. Clayton Fletcher is one of the Co-Founders of FUNY Standup, in additon to being a NY-based comic with a special, Middle Child Syndrome. Clayton is also the co-author of The ROI of LOL (p. A multi­dimensional performer Brian is both an accomplished stage actor, who has played Hamlet in New York, and a versatile voice over artist with a vast range of accents and character voices in his repertoire. Brian was recently seen on the big screen in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty with Ben Stiller & also performed in such films as Ice Age II with Ray Romano and Robots with Robin Williams & Halle Berry. Brian has just released his first live Comedy CD “What Women Want.”In 2014, Charles McBee made national stand-up comedy appearances on Gotham Comedy Live on AXS TV and Laughs on FOX.
