Have you always wanted to try stand-up but didn't know where to start? Are you a working comic looking to sharpen your set and get more consistent laughs? This 4-week Stand-Up Comedy Intensive with Clayton Fletcher is open to all levels and gives you hands-on time writing, editing, and performing your material. You'll learn how to turn your ideas into jokes, tighten your delivery, and build a set you're proud of, all in a fun and supportive environment. The intensive concludes with a showcase at West Side Comedy Club, Clayton Fletcher and Friends, giving students the opportunity to perform their set in front of a live audience. Please note: Final performances are recorded and are subject to be used on our social media platforms. Session schedule: Sunday, January 24th, 12pm to 3pm, at West Side Comedy Club Sunday, January 31st, 12pm to 3pm, at West Side Comedy Club Sunday, February 7th, 12pm to 3pm, at West Side Comedy Club Sunday, February 14th, 12pm to 3pm, at West Side Comedy Club *Depending on the number of students, class time may change. Performance date: Saturday, February 20th, @ 6pm at West Side Comedy Club Policies: Payment is required to complete the registration process. No Refunds, No Exchanges, No Cancellations (No semester roll-overs). We reserve the right to remove anyone from a course and refund their money at any time for any reason. End times are subject to change based on class size. Graduation shows must have at least 20 tickets sold in order to move forward. FUNY Standup & West Side Comedy Club reserve the right to cancel the show up to four (4) hours prior to start time if there is not a large enough audience. Students will receive a recording of their set from the graduation show for free if they bring at least four guests. Otherwise, a $25 fee will apply.
